이용약관
1. 서비스 이용
Marglet(마글렛, 이하 “본 서비스”)은 읽은 책과 책에 남긴 메모·문장을 기록하는 iPhone·iPad 앱으로, Marglet 운영자(이하 “운영자”)가 무료로 제공합니다.
본 서비스를 이용하면 이 약관에 동의한 것으로 봅니다. 앱을 내려받고 이용할 때에는 Apple App Store의 이용약관(Apple 표준 최종 사용자 사용권 계약)도 함께 적용됩니다.
2. 계정
본 서비스는 회원가입 없이 이용할 수 있습니다. 여러 기기에서 기록을 맞추려면 Google 계정으로 로그인할 수 있으며, 이때 처리하는 개인정보는 개인정보 처리방침을 따릅니다.
- 이용자는 본인의 Google 계정으로만 로그인해야 합니다.
- 이용자는 설정 > 계정 > 계정 삭제로 언제든 계정을 삭제할 수 있으며, 삭제하면 서버의 계정과 기록이 즉시 지워지고 되살릴 수 없습니다.
3. 기록과 저작권
- 이용자가 작성한 메모·문장·생각 등 기록의 권리는 이용자에게 있습니다. 운영자는 기록을 저장하고 기기 간에 동기화하는 데에만 사용하며, 다른 목적으로 이용하거나 공개하지 않습니다. 다만 법령에 따라 수사기관 등이 적법한 절차로 요구하는 경우는 예외입니다.
- 책 검색 결과와 표지 이미지는 카카오의 책 검색에서 제공받으며, 그 저작권은 각 권리자에게 있습니다.
- 본 서비스의 디자인, 로고, 소프트웨어 등 운영자가 만든 저작물의 권리는 운영자에게 있습니다.
- 책에서 옮겨 적은 문장은 이용자의 개인적인 기록 목적으로만 이용해 주세요.
4. 이용자의 책임
- 법령과 이 약관을 지킬 것
- 다른 사람의 권리(저작권, 개인정보 등)를 침해하지 않을 것
- 자동화된 수단으로 책 검색을 반복 호출하는 등 서비스의 정상적인 운영을 방해하지 않을 것
- 본 서비스나 서버를 무단으로 분석·변경하거나 다른 이용자의 기록에 접근하려 하지 않을 것
이를 어기면 운영자는 해당 이용자의 서비스 이용을 제한할 수 있습니다.
5. 요금
본 서비스는 무료이며 광고를 게재하지 않습니다. 유료 기능을 도입하게 되면 요금과 결제·해지·환불 조건을 이 약관에 추가하고 시행 30일 전에 알립니다.
6. 서비스 변경 및 중단
- 운영자는 운영상의 필요에 따라 서비스 내용을 바꾸거나 중단할 수 있으며, 중대한 변경은 가능한 한 미리 알립니다.
- 서버 점검, 장애, 외부 서비스(Supabase, Google, 카카오)의 정책 변경 등으로 로그인·동기화·책 검색이 일시적으로 중단될 수 있습니다.
- 서비스를 종료하는 경우 종료 30일 전까지 앱 안 공지나 이 페이지로 알리며, 이용자는 그 기간 동안 백업 파일로 기록을 내려받을 수 있습니다.
7. 면책 조항
본 서비스는 “있는 그대로(as-is)” 제공되며, 책 정보의 정확성, 서비스의 무중단성, 기기 고장·분실로 인한 기록 손실 등에 대해 보증하지 않습니다. 중요한 기록은 설정 > 내 기록 > 백업 파일 만들기로 따로 보관해 주세요.
운영자는 법령이 허용하는 범위에서 본 서비스 이용 중 발생한 손해에 대해 책임지지 않습니다. 다만 운영자의 고의 또는 중대한 과실로 인한 손해에 대해서는 관련 법령에 따라 책임집니다.
8. 약관 변경
이 약관은 변경될 수 있으며, 바뀐 내용과 시행일을 시행일 최소 7일 전에 이 페이지에 알립니다. 이용자에게 불리한 변경은 최소 30일 전에 알립니다. 알릴 때에는 시행일까지 거부 의사를 밝히지 않으면 변경에 동의한 것으로 본다는 점을 함께 알립니다.
변경된 약관은 알린 시행일부터 효력이 생기며, 이용자가 시행일 이후에도 본 서비스를 이용하면 변경된 약관에 동의한 것으로 봅니다. 동의하지 않으면 이용을 중단하고 계정을 삭제할 수 있습니다.
9. 준거법 및 관할
이 약관은 대한민국 법령에 따라 해석됩니다. 본 서비스 이용과 관련하여 분쟁이 생기면 서로 협의하여 해결하도록 노력하며, 협의가 이루어지지 않으면 「민사소송법」에 따른 관할 법원에 소를 제기할 수 있습니다. 이용자는 한국소비자원 등에 분쟁조정을 신청할 수도 있습니다.

Terms of Service
1. Using the Service
Marglet (the “Service” or the “App”) is an iPhone and iPad app for keeping track of the books you read and the notes and quotes you leave in them. It is provided free of charge by the Marglet operator (the “Operator”).
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. When you download and use the App, the Apple App Store terms (Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement) also apply.
2. Accounts
You can use the Service without signing up. To sync records across devices, you may sign in with a Google account; personal information processed in that case is governed by the Privacy Policy.
- You must sign in only with your own Google account.
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings (설정) > Account (계정) > Delete Account (계정 삭제). Deletion immediately and permanently removes your account and records from the server.
3. Your Records and Copyright
- You own the notes, quotes, thoughts, and other records you write. The Operator uses them only to store and sync them across your devices, and never uses them for any other purpose or makes them public, except when required by law through due legal process, such as a request from an investigative authority.
- Book search results and cover images are provided by Kakao's book search, and their copyrights belong to their respective owners.
- The Operator owns the rights to the Service's design, logo, software, and other works the Operator created.
- Please use quotes copied from books only for your personal records.
4. Your Responsibilities
- Follow the law and these Terms.
- Do not infringe the rights of others, including copyright and privacy.
- Do not interfere with the normal operation of the Service, for example by repeatedly calling book search with automated tools.
- Do not analyze or modify the Service or its servers without permission, or attempt to access other users' records.
If you violate these rules, the Operator may restrict your use of the Service.
5. Fees
The Service is free and shows no ads. If paid features are introduced, their prices and payment, cancellation, and refund terms will be added to these Terms and announced at least 30 days before they take effect.
6. Changes and Interruptions
- The Operator may change or discontinue parts of the Service for operational reasons and will give advance notice of material changes where possible.
- Sign-in, sync, or book search may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, outages, or policy changes by external services (Supabase, Google, Kakao).
- If the Service is shut down, we will announce it in the App or on this page at least 30 days in advance, and you can export your records as a backup file during that period.
7. Disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is.” We make no guarantees about the accuracy of book information, uninterrupted service, or loss of records caused by device failure or loss. Please keep important records separately via Settings (설정) > My Records (내 기록) > Create Backup File (백업 파일 만들기).
To the extent permitted by law, the Operator is not liable for damages arising from use of the Service. However, the Operator is liable under applicable law for damages caused by its intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
8. Changes to These Terms
These Terms may change. We will post the changes and the effective date on this page at least 7 days in advance, and at least 30 days in advance for changes unfavorable to you. Each notice will also state that if you do not object before the effective date, you will be deemed to have accepted the changes.
Changes take effect on the announced date. If you keep using the Service after that date, you are deemed to have accepted the changes. If you don't agree, you can stop using the Service and delete your account.
9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any dispute related to the Service will first be resolved through good-faith discussion; if that fails, either party may bring a claim before the competent court under the Korean Civil Procedure Act. You may also apply for dispute mediation with the Korea Consumer Agency or similar bodies.
